Beef Pot Roast Dutch Oven Recipe
Ingredients:
3 lb rump roast or pot roast
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
4 potatoes
4 carrots
2 onions
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup water

Instructions:
Peel and slice potatos.
Peel and slice carrots.
Peel and slice onions.
Pour oil into dutch oven.
Heat dutch oven to 350 degrees for Frying.
Brown roast in oil, turning to brown all sides.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add vegetables and water.
Cover and Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours depending on how well done you like it.
Serves about 8.

All recipes use a 12-inch dutch oven, unless specified.
If you have a 10-inch dutch oven, use about 2/3 to 3/4 of the ingredient amounts but keep the temperature and time about the same.
If you have an 8-inch dutch oven, use about 1/2 of the ingredient amounts but keep the temperature and time about the same.
If no temperature is listed, use 350 degrees.

You should dredge the roast in flour
mixed with salt and pepper before
browning it
